Metadata project (1/3) • Launched in spring 2006 • Project with the aims of creating a common display and updating environment for Statistics Finlands existing, separate metadata databases • to ascertain and define how the metadata in the relational databases can automatically be converted to an XML format (CoSSI) • to create a user interface for updating and maintaining the XML format metadata documents • to create a comprehensive system of identification codes Harri Lehtinen
