  3. Transition Overview Due to changes in the UEZ Program, businesses will apply for Certification directly online using NJ Premier Business Services (PBS). PBS provides centralized access to multiple online services, including electronic filing of taxes, such as the UZ-50.

Premier Business Services • Urban Enterprise Zone • Applications submitted by businesses online • Automated vetting of Business Registration Certificate • Pro-active tax clearance process • Automated location address verification • E-mail notifications to businesses • Help Desk – assistance to businesses • Tax and Revenue Center • Pay UZ-50 taxes online • Additional services available

Transition Timeline • July 1, 2011Certification Applications submitted online • August 15 to 31, 2011 Annual Reporting Forms submitted online • First group - annual reporting dates 10/1/2011 or later • November 15 to 30, 2011Recertification Applications submitted online • First group – certification expiration dates of 1/1/2012 or later
