Allie Finkle’s Rules for GirlsStage Fright By: Meg Cabot Kelsey McDowell
The book I chose for my project is Allie Finkle’s Rules for Girls Stage Fright. This slide will show the characteristics of the main character, Allie Finkle, my favorite part, a summary, and a little background info on the author. This is one of the best books I’ve read and I hope you will understand why by the end of this presentation.
ALLIE’S PAGE While watching this section think about a person you know with the same characteristics as Allie!
Allie’s Characteristics • Creative • Smart • Thoughtful • Outgoing • Funny • Brave • Dramatic
Allie 4th Grader Has 2 brothers Has a mom that is on television Likes to act Smart Funny Talented Outgoing Dramatic
My favorite part in the book is when Allie and her friends were practicing for the play and they decided to play a practical joke on their friend, Erica’s, sister, Missy. At first they were just putting paper clips in the keyhole of Missy’s door. Then Erica’s brother, John, sprayed Silly Sting in the keyhole. That got Missy to come storming out of her room and chase the girls and John all around the house!
This story was about one girl’s dream to be the star in her class play. Even though she didn’t get the part she wanted, she didn’t let that stand in her way. Throughout the story Allie learned a lot of new things but her most important lesson: NOTHINGS IMPOSSIBLE. NOTHING AT ALL!
Meg Cabot Born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, Meg also lived in Grenoble, France and Carmel, California before moving to New York City after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Indiana University. She’s written books from the best selling series Mediator to the book that founded the movie The Princess Diaries! Meg Cabot is one of the best author’s of our time and she’s not planning to stop!
THANK YOU!
