  1. Pipe Smoking A guide by Gregory Ressler

  2. Introduction Pipe smoking can be a fun and social hobby. The point of smoking a pipe is to get relaxed, so you can use it as a stress reliever during your finals study breaks.

  3. Steps of Lighting Up • Selecting a Pipe • Packing the Tobacco • Lighting and Smoking

  4. Type of Pipes Bent Pipe Straight Pipe • Easier to hold in your teeth without hands • Keeps smoke out of your face.

  5. Packing the Tobacco Take a small pinch of tobacco and place it in the bowl Repeat until you get as much tobacco in the bowl as you like It is recommended to have at least half a bowl. Pack the tobacco in with your finger or a pipe packing tool. Don’t pack too tight or too loose Packing it too loose lets the fire die down Packing it in too tight makes it hard to suck

  6. Lighting the Pipe/Smoking • Light the Pipe with a match or lighter • Hold the small flame just above the bowl • As you do this, suck in through the mouthpiece • It may take a few tries • Don’t inhale! You’ll feel sick
