Attention 8th Graders • Get ready for the • 8TH grade BACKYARD BASH • T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST
Create a design to go on a white t-shirt which will be worn by the 8th graders at the annual end-of-year Back Yard Bash on June 3, 2013.
The design should include: • The words “SMART’S MILL” • The words “CLASS OF 2013” • One color (which will go on the white shirt) • Design/language must be school appropriate
Students should submit all designs to Mr. Eskew. The deadline to submit your design has been extended to March 1st.
Get Involved Join a Smart’s Mill After School Club
Club sign-up forms and brochures are available in each house area, as well as on our school web site for print out at home.
There are “NO” Activity Buses this week Clubs will NOT meet this week Clubs start up again on Wed, Jan. 30th.
Starting next week, clubs will only meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays. No more Monday Club Dates
8th Grade Band for brass and percussion only will meet after school today. 7th grade band will meet before school on Thursday at 7:30 am
Maverick Choir will rehearse this Thursday No buses are available, so please arrange for a ride promptly at 4:30.
JAM is not meeting after school on Thursday. Please meet your JAM FOCUS in the cafeteria on Friday

Recycle your old printer cartridges here and help raise money for Smart’s Mill.
For every printer cartridge we recycle, we get $2.00 store credit at Staples. That can add up to a lot of school supplies for our teachers and staff!!!
Grab your scissors and keep an eye out for the Box Tops for Education logo on the products you use every day. For every Box Top you clip, our school will receive 10 cents. That may not sound like a lot, but it adds up quickly.
Bring your Box Tops for Education to your Focus teacher. The focus group that collects the most will get a prize provided by the PTA
