  2. Caribbean Education Cup Mission: To raise money for The CHTA Education Foundation and to promote the Caribbean as a golfing  destination.

Format for Tournament • Caribbean Club PRO-AM Golf Tournament • All tournaments will be played at the same time (September 19-21, 2010) • Open to all CHTA member islands • Multiple tournament sites – each site hosts a 3 day tournament • Practice round and 2 playing rounds, with an awards ceremony on the evening of the final round • Teams will consist of 4 players (1 professional and 3 amateurs) • Tournament will be marketed to promote golf pros bringing a team of 3 amateurs from their club or area • For groups of amateurs with no paired pro, PGA Magazine can arrange for a professional from the US to join the group • Each tournament will have a champion (scoring will be based on a handicap system) • Golf Course Owners/Operators will be responsible for organizing the tournament

  4. Benefits • Fundraising for the CHTA Education Foundation • Increases exposure to Caribbean golf, golf destinations • Advertising opportunities for island, golf club, hotels • Provides revenue in the slow season for hospitality participants

  5. Event Dates • Saturday, September 18, 2010 – Arrive • Sunday, September 19, 2010 – Practice Round • Monday, September 20, 2010 – First Day of Tournament • Tuesday, September 21, 2010 – Second Day of Tournament and Awards Function • Wednesday, September 22, 2010 – Departure
