Conversations on the Will of God -Part 6
Creating -verb 1. to cause to come into being, as something unique, not made by ordinary processes.
Creation God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26
Creation God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28
Creation God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. Genesis 1:31
Redeeming -verb 1. to buy back, to recover by payment or other satisfaction
Redemption In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace. Ephesians 1:7
Redemption And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30
Redemption We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Romans 8:22-24
Reconciling -verb 1. to bring into agreement or harmony; make compatible; to restore
Reconciliation His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. Ephesians 2:15-16
Reconciliation For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Colossians 1:19-20
Reconciliation Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight. Colossians 1:21-22
Our Question then is not: “What is God’s will for my life?”
But rather: “Where does my life fit in God’s Will?”
Are you in God’s will? Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. 2 Peter 3:11-12
Are you in God’s will? That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. 2 Peter 3:12-13
Are you in God’s will? So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. 2 Peter 3:14
What is God Doing? He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Revelation 21:5
