  1. Hello Blue Block! • Welcome to TDP 4280! Please find a seat and get started on the following assignment : • On the blank sheet of paper provided, draw a picture of a Scientist doing Science. • Make sure to fill the page and utilize the coloring materials in your table caddy to add detail. • We will begin class as soon as the majority have completed their pictures.

  2. On a 4 X 6 notecard write down… • 1. Science courses taken • 2. Rate science 1-10 • (10 being “AWESOME” and 1 being “DEAR GOD”! • 3. One thing you want me to know about you • 4. One thing you want to know about me • Hold them up when finished and I will collect.

  3. Autobiography Pre-Writing Discussion • As I pull cards, I will answer what you want to know about me, be thinking about… • • a +/- science experience; introduce yourself

  4. small-group discussion: • What patterns do you notice?

  5. Science Autobiography • Read through Assignment page… • Be candid/honest • Focus on analysis; not just recalling • E-Mail to AA before next class.

  6. Science or not? • Check out the “Science or Not” handout… - Without talking, mark the activities or experience you think qualify as Science. • When whole table is finished… • - Think-Pair-Share with your table group and discuss why you picked the way you did. • Hold on to this sheet as we will come back to it during another class period.
