If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Pride: An “I” Problem • Seems to be contagious: • Feel need to respond to someone’s bragging • Need to build me up when he puts me down • Have to defend each action, opinion… • Pride produces contention Prov. 13:10 • Leads to our destruction Prov. 16:18
