Assumptions • C6 L1B delivery expected by July 31, 2009 • Following C6 Atmospheric products should be available by Sept 30 2009 • MOD35 (for LST, Snow and Sea_Ice, All land PGEs except LSR and Fire) • MOD07 (for LST) • Deep Blue Aerosol for Terra and Aqua for years 2007and 2008 (for LST) • Final Land Cover product (MOD12Q1) and land water mask for use in C6 reprocessing by August 31, 2009 • C6 MOD09 (PGE11) first version available by early October 2009

Major C6 Science Tests • C6 L1B Test (Aqua + Terra) in Aug 2009 • 2 16-day Global Test (2003001 and 2003193) • Compare C5 L1B vs C6 L1B • C6 Land Baseline Test (Aqua + Terra) in Aug/Sept 2009 • 2 16-day Global Test (2003001 and 2003193) • Compare C5 Land with C5 L1B vs C5 Land with C6 L1B • C5 Land products with C6 L1B will be used as baseline for evaluation of C6 changes. • 1st 16-day Global Test in October 2009 • C6 L1B, Cloud Mask and Atmospheric Profile • First C6 updates to land PGEs • All available land PGEs will be run with the first C6 version of PGE11 • For LST this will be the C6 baseline Test with the C6 Cloud Mask and Atmospheric Profile • 2nd 16-day Global Test in Nov/Dec 2009 • Second C6 updates to Land PGEs • 1st and/or 2nd revisions to LST C6 algorithm • N-tiles 3-month time series Test in Dec 09/Jan 2010 • All land PGEs • Test and evaluation to conclude by end of Feb 2010 • Final Global Test/Time series Test in Feb/March 2010 • For all/selected PGEs as required
