Bible or News paper?. Versions and perversions. Few vital questions. What’s the issue with the many bible versions? Are they all the same? Is it real just a simplified/ modernised language or is there more than meets the eye? We will answer these questions in the following slides.

Bible or News paper? Versions and perversions
Few vital questions • What’s the issue with the many bible versions? • Are they all the same? • Is it real just a simplified/modernised language or is there more than meets the eye? • We will answer these questions in the following slides.
You probably think that this is a new battle, oh no, no, no my dear friend. • It is an old, very old battle, since creation “did God really say you must not eat?” • Remember that one? • That was the first time God’s word was doubted
What did God say? • God said: “…Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Gen. 2:16-17
What did Satan say? • He said: “…Yeah, hath God said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?; …Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Gen. 3:1,4-5 • Notice something?
God says eat of every tree save that of the knowledge of good and evil; • The devil says don’t eat of any tree. • God says you will surely die • Satan says you will not surely die • He even adds a new doctrine of being Gods
What’s the big deal with the Bible? • Mt. 4:4 But He answered and said, It is written, men shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. • Isaiah 8:20 To the Law and the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. • “Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.”—Matthew 22:29
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which livethand abidethforever.”—1 Peter 1:23 • “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the Word of our God shall stand for ever.”—Isaiah 40:8. • “But He said, Yea, rather, blessed are they that hear the Word of God, and keep it.”—Luke 11:28
"Brethern, cling to your Bible, as it reads. . . and obey the Word, and not one of you will be lost." 1 SM.18 • "The people of God are directed to the Scriptures as their sageguard against the influence of false teachers ....None but those who have fortified the mind with the truths of the Bible will stand through the last great conflict." C.C. 593-4. • "The whole Bible is a manifestation of Christ. The word must be our source of power." D.A. 390.
Are we supposed to change the bible? • Rev. 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto the plagues that are written in this book: and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in the book.

Is the bible important? • Isaiah 8:20 “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them.” • Isaiah 28:9-10 “Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” • Luke 4:4 “And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” • Rev 22:18 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: • 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.”
Now lets examine the modern bibles and see how much they have tempered with the word of God.
