Your Community…Your Dream... Your Life Mia Colbert, Selin Esener, Anique Hermann, and Kate Hohenstein Period 1 An Anti-Giver Community
Sameness + Dullness = Emptiness Might as well be lifeless Do not let the Elders take your Life Away!
You should not live in the Giver community! Imagine a world with nothing: • No memories or history to learn from • No emotions or feelings to rely upon • No freedom of choices or individuality to shine on • No diversity or color or seasons to be enriched from • No natural death just euthanasia to die from SAY NO to a world of sameness and dullness
No memories or history to learn from Memories give our individuality and ensure our quality of life “Difficulty in memorization impacts a wide range of daily life activities, such as driving, social interactions and reading, and can greatly affect quality of life," said Dr. Adam Gazzaley, adjunct assistant professor of neuroscience at UC Berkeley http://www.physorg.com/news6435.html • Memory is the power retaining and recalling a past experience. • The power of memory becomes a part of one. • Our memories give us a chance to learn from our experiences and give us the ability to make decisions. • Memories make our lives richer and more meaningful. Without memory one cannot live a full and productive life
. No emotions or feelings to rely upon "No aspect of our mental life is more important to the quality and meaning of our existence than emotions. They are what make life worth living, or sometimes ending." site:http://plato.stanford.edu/enties/emotion/. Emotions are a part of our everyday life and contribute to making our life better influencing on decisions that lead to happiness. Pleasure, pain and love are just a few emotions that occur when you have feelings. Enjoy the simple pleasures one gets from a beautiful sunset or a blooming flower. A colorless and emotionless life will be full of darkness, really dull and boring. Generosity, desire to share, and love bring satisfaction and fulfillment. Celebrate your holidays in America and feel the joy of true giving, sharing, and love. “You are alive when you give, share, and love”
Stop lies. Say NO to Euthanasia! . Euthanasia is the act of intentionally causing a person's death by performing a lethal injection. The Giver Community applies it to eliminate the elderly, the weak, and the rule breakers. While the citizens of the community think they are being released, they actually are being killed. “Death solves all problems…..No man, No problems.” http://www.nrlc.org/euthanasia This is a quote that you would be forced to believe as a citizen of the Giver Community. In America where we live today, this is not the case or the right choice. By choosing to stay in America, You will not have to face the horrifying truth of euthanasia. You will die when it is your time to go by natural causes. You will not have to be murdered if you are weak, old, a twin or simply just make a mistake. Here in America the use of Euthanasia is illegal. WE VALUE LIFE !
Conclusion We encourage you to live here at your home and let history and memories be your guide. Live through your emotions and experience your feelings at their fullest. Enjoy your freedom of choices and shine with your own individuality while you enrich yourself with a life full of color, animals, simple pleasures of nature, and enjoy every season. Experience the wonders of natural life and death instead of being condemned to living your life under the watchful eyes of the Elders. Do not confuse sameness with equality STAY AND ENJOY AMERICA!!!!!!!
