Graduation Requirements
Graduation Requirements • Pass the minimum of 28 Credits in the following areas….English, Math, Science, Social Studies, (Health & PE or 3 units of JROTC) and Pathway Electives. • AND • Pass the Georgia High School Writing Test (Fall 11th Grade)
Test Requirements for Graduation • EOCT –End of Course Test --- State Assessments that count 20% of overall course grade • PASS the GHSWT (11th)
English • 9th Grade – English I • 10th Grade – English II • 11th Grade – English III • 12th Grade – English IV EOCT: • English I (9th grade) • English III (11th grade)
Math • 9th Grade – CCGPS Coordinate Algebra • 10th Grade – Analytic Geometry • 11th Grade – Advanced Algebra • 12th Grade – Pre-Calculus or Advanced Decision Making Model or AP Statistics EOCT: • CCGPS Coordinate Algebra (9th grade) • CCGPS Analytic Geometry (10th grade)
Science • 9th Grade – Physical Science • 10th Grade – Biology • 11th Grade – Chemistry • 12th Grade – Environmental Science, CTAE Elective (see note), Physics or Human Anatomy EOCT: • Physical Science (9th grade) • Biology (10th grade)
Social Studies • 10th Grade – World History • 11th Grade – U.S. History • 12th Grade – Government/Economics • Note: Some 9th Graders will take Pre AP World History and take AP European History in the 10th and AP USH in the 11th. EOCT: • US History (11th grade) • Economics (12th grade)
Pathway Electives • CTAE – Focused area of Agriculture, Business, Family & Consumer Science, JROTC, CNA and Health Occupations • Academic – Advanced Placement (AP) in Math, Science, English or Social Studies • Fine Arts – Focused area of Art, Band, Drama or Choir • Modern Language/Latin – Spanish 1,2 & 3 (Spanish 3 is reserved for Accel students)
Other Electives • Team Sports, Weight Training, CTAE, Fine Arts, AP Electives, etc.
