The gap between rich and poor countries is morally wrong because of suffering in the third worldIt is politically dangerous because poverty may cause these countries to turn to extreme ideologies as a solution to their poverty. Liberal and Social Democratic perspective. Social reform improved the condition of the working class in advanced industrial society; so too could adjustments in world trade, finance and aid help poor nations of the world out of poverty.
