  3. Five Public Schools in St. Paul and Maplewood were involved

  4. St. Paul is the second largest school district in Minnesota • Students speak more than 95 languages and dialects and come from countries throughout the world • Language spoken at home is other than English for 42% of the students

  5. Master Gardeners Provide Support in Seed Starting American Indian Magnet

  6. Transplanting Seedlings

  7. Planting in School Yards

  8. Consultating on Home Rain Garden Locations

  9. Soil Testing

  10. Planting Residential Rain Gardens

  11. Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District Projects • Gardens will: • help manage storm water run-off and/or beautify school yards • be used in future school education activities • serve as demonstrations to students, staff, neighborhood residents and visitors • provide valuable habitat
