ANT INTEGRATED INITIATIVE vis-à-vis P-RNAV • Primary aim to reduce variety of potentially confusing TMA procedures in ECAC • At present, many different types with differing requirements (e.g. B-RNAV, B-RNAV+, GPS, FMS, Sequence of Waypoints, P-RNAV) • Target is P-RNAV for all RNAV procedures (some limited B-RNAV applications with specific design requirements are accepted) • States have committed to providing at least one conventional procedure until 2010 ANT/37

  3. P-RNAV ISSUES • EASA Data Suppliers’ Accreditation Process and Letter of Acceptance (LoA) • FAA Data Suppliers’ Acceptance (AC 20-DB) and LoA • Operator Approval (Current and Planned) • State P-RNAV Implementation Progress ANT/37

  5. FAA ACCREDITATION • P-RNAV document (AC 90-96A) published 12th January 2005 • FAA LoA Directive (AC 20-DB) completed end 2004 • AC 20-DB with FAA Legal Department prior to publication • Applications for FAA LoAs are now being invited – approx 18 applicants expected ANT/37

  14. INTEGRATED INITIATIVE CONCLUSIONS • 71% of States now compliant • Possibly 85% by October 2005 provided LoAs awarded/Operator Approvals situation improves • Good progress on EASA Data Suppliers’ LoAs but still waiting for FAA LoA to be formally adopted ANT/37
