The Teaching Profession • By law, all teachers who wish to teach in publically funded schools must register with GTCS. • The General Teaching Council for Scotland is the professional regulatory body for teachers in Scotland. We maintain and enhance professional standards of Scotland's teachers and support new teachers.

Teacher Induction Scheme • Guaranteed offer of a one-year teaching post to eligible students. • Maximum class commitment of 18.5 hours with remaining time set aside for professional development. • An experienced teacher as a supporter. • Opportunity to achieve full registration in one-school year
Teacher Induction Scheme • Must have completed course and notification by university to be made to GTCS by 5 July 2013 • Must have been assessed as a ‘Home Fees student’ by the Student Awards Agency for Scotland. • Includes UK and EU students with UK and EU passport
