Indians Board of Directors • Requirement for non-profit status regarding decision making process including spending approval, checks/balances, activity planning & organization, etc. • Support the Indians staff and reduce their time spent on non-baseball activities • Cross of Indians management, staff and volunteer parents willing to devote time and resources to create a well rounded organization 2010 Board Executive Committee: Nelson Gord, David Haehnel & Jeff Coggin Board: Chris Andel, Matt Mahay, Betsy Ortolano, Mikaela Spalding, Ed Monson & Frank Vassios
Practices & Scheduling During January & February, high school (15u,16u,17u teams) practices will be in Schaumburg on Monday nights from 4:30-6:30pm supplemented by optional workouts at PBUSA Youth tournaments included Memorial Day & Thillens (July 4th weekend) HS tournaments will be competitive tournaments that we expect college scouts to attend (16U & 17U) HS: Buckeye Elite Tournament July 8-11 (14u-17u). Details TBA.
Uniforms & Apparel • We will be doing a uniform sizing at a practice over the winter. Details TBA • Youth hooded sweatshirts will be/have been handed out by coaches • Belts & socks distributed this week • HS Teams will receive shorts at the beginning of 2010 • Spirit wear order due November 15th (deadline for Christmas Delivery) • Avalible @ www.illinoisindiansbaseball.com • After November 15th Deadline the second order deadline is March 1st guaranteed for season • Uniform at Practice (Indians hat, tryout shirt, grey pants, navy belt, navy socks) • Failure to come prepared will result in being sent home or opting to purchase new practice attire.
COPS (Coach Organization Player System) • Tremendous program asset for assessment & tracking • Individual player binders kept in central location at PlayBall • Assessing skill level in 20+ areas. Attitude, frequency of workouts and other comments will be recorded in the player & coach’s notes section. • Individual player meetings with coaches to review details of the system in the coming weeks. • All Indians Players are members of Play Ball USA • Call 24 hrs. in advance to reserve your rental time: (847) 375-0840
Activities Club=Home Run Club (HRC) HRC is similar to a traditional booster club where members contribute to creating and managing activities that support and enhance the Indians organization HRC is designed to improve our program. For the parents it allows you the opportunity to get more actively involved in non-baseball related programs, activities and planning as well as the ability to become an active board member.

FUNdraising • Gives you the opportunity to offset $300 fundraising requirement while having some FUN! • Our goal is to plan FUN interactive, family & friends bonding events coupled with “traditional type” fundraisers • 1-3 winter evening adult events to raise money towards your program costs that you can invite others to join for a night out. - Dirty Nellie’s (January 16th) night of food, drink & music - Maywood Race Night (late February). Details to Follow - March Madness or St. Patrick’s Celebration?? • Key to success is volunteers and participation…we want to make the events a success!!!

Team communication coordinator(s) Adult evening events volunteers for planning and execution Service projects – Committee led by Jeff Bork Indians web site – Need committee head Marketing & public relations – Committee led by Betsy Ortolano Indians Scholar Athletes – 3.0 GPA Players Listed on Web Site (be sure to submit qualified players) Check the Web Site every Monday at 6pm and Friday at 6pm Need you to commit to the HRC and sign parent/player contracts
