Key Topic Areas We Focused on toBetter Support Our Workforce andPrepare for a More Interdisciplinary Approach 1) Provide social science and decision support training to all meteorologists, physical scientists, and hydrologists 2) Revise application criteria for 1340, 1315, 1301 vacancy announcements; Human Resources reviews applications for “legitimacy” 3) Develop comprehensive workforce plan to examine roles of ALL positions (including announce hydrologist vacancies as interdisciplinary Hydrologist 1315 series and Civil Engineer 810 series) 4) Define/modify educational requirements - 1340s, 1315s to include, people skills, warning decision ability, and adaptability to change
