  12. Copperhead • Description: • Coppery Red Head • Reddish to light brown • Dark Chestnut Hourglass Crossbands • Tail fades darker in adults and to bright green in young • Length: 24”-36”

  13. Cottonmouth • Description: • Olive, Brown, to Black • Dark Crossbands with lighter centers • Crossbands sometimes hourglass shaped • The tail on the young fades to bright green • Length: 30”-48”

  14. Timber Rattlesnake • Description: • Light to Dark Brown. Some As bright as yellow and as dark as Black • Dark Brown to Black Crossbands • Red to Rust Brown Lateral Stripe (on coastal specimens) • Tail fades to black ending in a rattle • Length: 36”-60”

  15. Pigmy Rattlesnake • Description: • Grey to bright reddish pink background • One to two rows of dark lateral spots • Red to brown lateral stripe on lighter specimens • Tail fading to a lighter color , possibly green with a very small rattle • Length: 15”-21”
