  2. What is SEELRC? • Established in 1999, a joint US Dept of Education Title VI Language Resource Center (LRC) to raise US expertise in Slavic and East European Languages • Consortium with Duke University • The first and only LRC for Slavic in the US

  3. Online Reference Grammars • Currently available for Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian; Czech; Georgian; Macedonian; Polish; Romanian; Russian • Belarusian; Slovene; Ukrainian in progress • Interactive exercises for grammatical practice

  4. Online Grammatical Exercises • Linked from Webliographies and Reference Grammars • Includes games, vocabulary calendar, interactive resources from other instructors

  5. Online Grammatical Dictionaries • SEELRC Grammatical Dictionaries provide full word paradigms, native pronunciation, and semantic linkage in a user-friendly, web-accessible format. Russian and Czech dictionaries are currently under development.

  6. E-journal Glossos • Peer-reviewed articles from international conferences • Free access to all • 4 issues published; 2 more in progress • Publications in English, Russian, Polish

  7. Summer Institute • The premiere professional development venue for instructors of Slavic and East European Languages • Over 80 participants in 5 years, impacting almost 30K students at 56 institutions • Advanced training in use of technology in the language classroom, testing, education of heritage speakers, sociolinguistic issues, and issues of language and cognition.

  8. Dissemination • Webliographies – provide quick access to vetted resources • SEELRC promotes its projects and UNC programs at national venues • SEELRC supports conferences and publications of national organizations (AAASS, AATSEEL, SCLA, FASL, SLS, SEEJ)

  9. Administration of SEELRC Funds • Director/PI – Laura A. Janda • Research Associate – Works on projects and administers grant including FLAS Fellowships for CSEEES (approx. 40% of CSEEES budget) • Student staff – work on grammatical exercises, online dictionaries, organizing events, publicity, data collection
