A Lasting Legacy Making Your Mark Deuteronomy 61:15
Making your mark • Five years ago, when you heard the name “Tiger Woods,” what did it make you think of? • If Tiger’s dad had put a Bible in his hands instead of a golf club, how might things have turned out differently? • Before we come down two hard on Earl Woods, let’s stop and consider what we are putting into the hands of our children. • Will it have eternal significance? You can build on the right foundation by fearing the Lord, obeying His commands, and loving Him with your whole being. • Your devotion to God should be heartfelt and heart-deep so that your obedience and desire to share your faith are a natural overflow. • You must recognize the temptation of abundant physical blessings and keep your focus on God alone.
Now What? • This week, take a moment to make a list of the major people whom God has placed under your influence. • Prayerfully choose one or two with whom you will speak this week about what you have learned. • Ask God to give you the opportunity and the courage to influence their lives this week.
