  2. Silicone Gaskets Silicone Gaskets: Silicones are the synthetic compounds that compose of silicon, oxygen, and sometimes carbon and hydrogen. They are rubber like compounds and are heat resistant. Silicone material is widely used in many industries like lubricants, sealants, medicines, and electrical & thermal insulations. Silicone gaskets/sealing ring: Silicone gaskets or sealing rings are used in the equipments to airtight the appliance, keeping the steam inside and to raise the temperature this is the basic use of a silicone gasket. They are widely used in electrical, surgical and food processing, and aerospace.

Silicone Gaskets Different silicone gasket material grades: “CG” grade: Commercial Grade used under extreme temperature conditions like food processing “MED” grade: Medical Grade Silicone gaskets used in healthcare application. It’s been tested to meet USP class 6 standards “COND” grade: Electrically Conductive silicone grade used in variety of application. This is carbon black filled silicone materials that has low amperage conductor and thus protects electrostatic discharge “HS” grade: High Strength silicone gaskets have high tensile and good tear resistance capacity. The components used to produce this gasket are listed in CFR 177.2600 FDA regulations. “FS” grade: Flurosilicone grade silicone gaskets are used in extreme harsh chemical or fluid exposure “FDA” grade: This grade silicone gasket is used in food and processing industry. Mostly they are in white color and have low volatile property. They are peroxide free and will not discolor soon.
