  5. PSR Purpose ─ Demonstrate OMPS PFM is Ready for Delivery PSR Introduction • Nadir Science-Grade Algorithms – Dec ’02 (Delivered) • Limb Science-Grade Algorithms – Mar ’03 (Delivered) • Proto-Flight Model (PFM) for NPP – 20 Oct ’08 (19 Sep ’08 Goal) • One (1) Telemetry Simulator (FVS) for NPP – Mar ’05 (Delivered) • Three (3) Telemetry Simulators (FVS) – Jul ’05 (Delivered) • Deliverable EGSE & GSE – 15 Feb ’11 (27 Dec ’10 Goal) • Flight Model 2 (FM2) for NPOESS – 15 Feb ’11 (27 Dec ’10 Goal) • One (1) High-Fidelity Simulator (EEM) – 1 Mar ’10 • Two (2) Instrument Test Operator Consoles (ITOCs) – 1 Mar ’10 & 15 Feb ‘11

  6. PSR will Demonstrate OMPS Readiness to Ship PSR Introduction • OMPS PFM Ready for Delivery to NGST for NPP Integration • Flight hardware and software is complete and ready • Planned & contractually required acceptance testing is complete • All 967 requirements verified and approved by BATC, NGST, IPO and NASA • All waivers submitted and approved by NGST and SEWG • Open Liens from PSR Addressed • All category 1 liens (gate to delivery in place) are closed • The category 2 lien (gate to IIRR) is closed • Category 3 liens (gate to EIDP) are closed, with the exception of: • 6 action items: responses provided – awaiting customer concurrence • 1 PSR checklist item: DD-1149 – NGST action • Issues Since PSR Have Been Addressed and Residual Risk is Understood • All residual risks are low to moderate, with the majority being low • FCA/PCA Completed Ahead of the 10 Nov ’08 Baseline Plan
