  1. Salinity By ArjunBhugra and Sergio Escalante

  2. What is Salinity? Definition= Salinity is the saltiness or dissolved salt inside a body of water, in our case, the river Nile.

  3. What does salinity measure? Salinity measures the parts of salt per thousand!

  4. Water Salinity A good rate for water salinity would be between 0.05 and 1.5% and the range, in this case, would be 4.5%. In the test we did in the river Nile the water was very fresh according to our chart below. The results we got were from 0% to 1% salinity.

  5. What do our test results mean? The Nile is way cleaner than we thought. The salinity of the water is fresh, with a percent of 0% to 1%. This is supported clearly by our data base in the previous slides. This is measured by, parts per thousand.

  6. What we learned from this? Arjun and I thought this was a wonderful experience in which we learned a lot in very little time. We are all critics of the Nile because it is really not that bad. We thought that this was really fun and that you should repeat it again next year, because it has been a great success.
