A cube allows you to extract the significance from a large, detailed dataset. Powerful way for an experienced Excel user to report on Munisdata. Ability to use a provided Excel template, no need to be an Excelexpert. More flexible reporting than creating a customized KY specific report inMunis. Cube server name - MUNISASP/SaaS Supportcan provide. Enter User Name andPassword. Make sure to enter datacenter\ before your UserName. First Time Connecting to aCube
Select CubeCategory: • Select General Ledger Cubes and thenselect GL Revenue and ExpenseCube. First Time Connecting to aCube
First Time Connecting to aCube “Save password in file” option is not recommended as it will save your Munis login and password unencrypted on yourcomputer.
Select OK onthe Import Data screen. Verify connection is working. Easily done by selecting the Amounts folder and selecting Actual. No data, contact Munis Support. First Time Connecting to aCube
Download and open the HB 200 cube template. • If Excel displaysa • security warning, click EnableContent. • Select the Datatab. • SelectProperties. • Note, your mouse cursor must be on a cell in the cube template for the Properties box to beavailable. Connect to a Excel CubeTemplate
Select theDefinition tab. SelectBrowse. Navigate to the GL Revenue and Expense Cube data connection file. This will typically be found under My Documents > My Data Sources. Connect to a Excel CubeTemplate
On the Definition tab, select“Always use connection file”. SelectOK. Click Yeswhen prompted to change the connection. Connect to a Excel CubeTemplate
Cubes data is refreshednightly. Refresh template by selecting RefreshAll. ExcelCubes
TransportLayer message • SelectOK • Multidimensional Connectionscreen • Enter User Nameand Possible Cube “Error”Messages Password. • Excel needs your Munis password since not saved on yourcomputer.
After completing these steps, if the 2018 Actualcolumn still shows $0’s, something was skipped. Circle back and make sure allsteps were completed. Other PossibleProblems
