Overview of Existing Neighborhoods • 40 acres of land • 11 sites – 7 multifamily,4 houses • 1 vacant parcel of land – Levy Avenue • in 7 neighborhoods, 5 school districts • 376 units of public housing • Average income = $11,000/year* • Average rent = $250/month* • Minimum rent = $25/month • Bldg. Age = 30 – 45 years old • Currently offer 1 thru 5 BR units • 4 sites with community centers • * These figures are as of March 31, 2009 Charlottesville Redevelopment & Housing Authority
