  4. A pride of lions • Female lions take turns at looking after cubs • Lions work together to hunt • A group of lions is called a pride • When lions meet they lick each other or rub their bodies together • They even share their milk with other mothers cubs • Lions like being with other lions

  5. Lion territory • A pride of lions lives and hunts in its own area a territory • Lions must sometimes roam a long way to find enough animals to prey on and feed the pride

  6. Big cats • Lions are members of the big cat family • Many big cats are endangered because people hunt them for their beautiful fur coats
