Congressional Budget ResolutionWill there be enough to restore funding again this year? • $2.2 trillion budget resolution • Resolution allows for $784.4 billion in discretionary spending compared to last year’s $792 billion spending level. • Function 250 – general science and space account (NASA, NSF, and DOE Science) is set at $23.9 billion, which would accommodate a $324 million increase for NSF and a $100 million increase for energy science above the presidentially requested levels • Function 270 – energy supply research is set at $2.6 billion • Function 300 – the majority of activities at the Department of the Interior is set at $29.3 billion So what does this mean for the 302(b) allocations?
