After you are assigned a state to research, go to the state government website to find information about their welfare programs that answers the following: Who is the welfare assistance for? How do you qualify for the assistance? Where can you go to get information and the help? (specific locations) What programs and services are available for low income families? What does each provide? Try to find some facts and figures that showcase how much is spent on welfare in your state. Once you find your information, prepare a PowerPoint presentation to showcase your findings.
