Logical Approach Lit. Review • “Approaches to the creation of jobs that are targeted to the unemployed are more cost-effective than are aggregated approaches such as tax cuts”(Hooper Briar 1983). This means creating new jobs that benefit everyone costs less money and gets people directly back to work • A Study conducted by Kay Price found that “age represents the single most significant barrier to obtaining paid employment”(2004). Therefore assistance from other parties as well as open-mindedness can be beneficial. • Jones argues that “paid employment ethic should be replaced with a work ethic”(1992). This means that women should be paid for things such as child rearing and caring for the elderly. Thus helping to reduce poverty later on.

Data & Program Analysis • Research Question: are those enrolled in AAIFS less likely to be unemployed than those within the community who do not participate in the program? • Binary (yes or no) test. • Cross-tab and Chi Squared • Logistic Regression • Evaluation Design: XO O • This compares those in the program to those not in the program and whether or not they are still unemployed.
Data Analysis My Program appeared to be working because 45.8% of those in the Program were unemployed as opposed to 51.1% of those not in the program. However, this does not prove to be statistically significant at .05 since my p-value was .147
Data Analysis My program proved to be further statistically insignificant after running the logistic regression because .074 is greater than .05.
