Step 1: Process the question- what is it asking me to do? What are some key phrases? What is my background knowledge of changes and continuities? • Step 2: Build a framework- Create a timeline or graphic organizer to outline your information. • Step 3: Build your essay- Create your thesis statement. • Step 4: Write it- Be sure to use analysis of continuities and changes. You need to be fluent in multiple approaches and be ready for any type of prompt. • These are meant to be tools in your toolkit that you can employ at will. • Your essay requires a starting point, transition and ending point. • Pre-writing is mandatory.
