General Requirements • Your response to your chosen prompt will take the form of a 4- to 5-page thesis-based essay. • You are required to use evidence from both literary and historical texts to support your thesis, including one (1) history source, one (1) literary source (not including contemporary readings) and one (1) art source. • Your essay must follow MLA style, including properly formatted in-text citations and a works cited page that has been reviewed and approved by a librarian. (Do not wait until the last minute to do this.) • The essay must be submitted in hard-copy form (stapled with rubric attached) at the beginning of class on Thursday, October 22. The essay must also be submitted to turnitin.com before the beginning of that class.
