  2. on How to use “on”: It is used for dates and days Jose: When do you want to meet? Mauricio: Let’s meet on August 22. (note: let’s = let us contraction) Ingrid: When is the test? Fany: It is on next Wednesday.

  3. at How to use “at.”: It is used for locations or time. Question types: Where is she? When does it start or what time does it start Selvin: Where is Delia? Kenia: She’s at the mall. Delia: When does the movie start? Pedro: It starts at 8:30.

  4. to How to use “to.”: It is used to answer the question “where’s he going to?” Mario: Where you going Guillermo? Guillermo: I’m going to the super market.

  5. For (basic use 1) How to use “for.”: It is used to show a purpose or when it involves a person (beneficiary). Nora: What is this food for? Elio: It is for lunch. William: Who’s this cake for? Charitin: It is for Jorge’s birthday.

  6. from / to (combination) How to use this combination: To show a starting and ending date. Sylvia: Hey Enzo, how long will you be in Los Angeles? Enzo: I’ll be in Los Angeles from July 5th to Dec. 1st.

  7. Prepositions: Summary of Examples • Let’s meet on Sunday at 2pm. • The meeting is on next Tuesday at 3pm. • Where’s Ada? She’s at the market. • Altagracia, let me tell you my schedule.
