  3. Deciding on the track • Department of epidemiology versus INHL track • Quantitative orientation • Interest in research

  4. Required courses: notes on the core • Track majors should take the BIOS/EPID 603 series • TRMD 601 should be taken to fulfill the basic human biology course requirement, if not eligible for course waiver

  5. Required courses for track • INHL 725 or EPID 712 • BIOS 604: Intermediate Biostatistics • Select one of three advanced statistical courses

  6. Recommended courses • Epidemiology department • 709: introduction to infectious diseases • 625: epidemiology of vaccine preventable diseases • 721: epidemiology of HIV/AIDS • 714: field epidemiology • 731: meta-analysis

  7. Recommended courses • INHL • 628: epidemiology of protein-energy malnutrition • INHL 680: introduction to population studies • INHL 645: survey measurement • INHL 624: monitoring and evaluation • INHL 635: design and management of information systems

  8. Recommended courses: other • BIOS 622: Data base management in the health sciences • TRMD 617: Immunology
