Mission: To take IUPUI’s perception from a commuter campus to Indiana’s Premiere Urban University Our mission for the IUPUIRegattais to develop a scholarship fund for Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis students. Our goals align with building an event that helps build awareness for the University and give students, faculty, and alumni a sense of community. We will achieve our mission through the use of strategic relationships, a strong alumni base, and the support of a thriving and growing University.

3. Background: Why Tradition is Beginning IUPUI Regatta: A canoe race • At some of Indiana’s Premiere Universities there are traditions that unify and help define the experience for these schools. • These traditions create a loyalty and sense of community for students, alumni, and the University’s surrounding areas. • IUPUI is conveniently placed right on the Canal in downtown Indianapolis, a perfect and picturesque scene for a CANOE RACE!

4. The Tradition Begins September, 19, 2009 Go JAGS!!! Who: What: When: Where: Why: IUPUI students, faculty, alumni, fans, and Indianapolis families at a canoe race on the canal. A canoe race among IUPUI students, faculty, and alumni. Afternoon and Evening of September 19, 2009; 11am – 6pm The downtown canal from the Admiral Spruce to the USS Indianapolis basin An event to raise money for student scholarships and connect our over 100,000 alumni and students in Indianapolis

5. IUPUI Regatta To make this happen WE NEED YOU! Levels of Partnerships • Title Sponsorship: $5,000+ • Gives you title sponsorship of the entire event • i.e. IUPUI Regatta presented by Company ABC • Signage at the event (name and logo) • #1 seed canoe named after company • Microphone time to address the participants before awards ceremony • Team Entry (rowers must be alumni of any Indiana University campus) • Presenting partner will be included in all press releases • Naming rights for the Admiral Spruce Basin for the event (Start/Finish and awards location) • Corporate exhibit tent (20x20)

6. IUPUI Regatta To make this happen WE NEED YOU! Levels of Partnerships (cont.) • Platinum: $3000 sponsorship • Naming rights for family community area in the USS Indianapolis Basin (Including bounce house, various obstacle courses, face painting, and etc.) • Remaining top seeded canoe sponsorship • Naming rights for the USS Indianapolis Basin for the event (canoe racers exchange, family community area, and post race festivities location) • Signage at event (name and logo) • Team Entry (rowers must be alumni of any Indiana University campus) • Corporate exhibit tent (20x20)

IUPUI Regatta To make this happen WE NEED YOU! • Gold: $1000 sponsorship • Canoe Sponsorship • Signage at event (name) • Team Entry (rowers must be alumni of any Indiana University campus) • Corporate tent (20x20) • Silver: $500 sponsorship • Canoe Sponsorship • Team Entry (rowers must be alumni of any Indiana University campus)
