BJS Mission Statement The faculty, staff, and students of Baytown Junior School are, as the motto demonstrates, “Dedicated To Excellence.” We are committed to providing students with a solid foundation upon which they can build a successful future.
Campus Goals • Improve student performance by increasing the STAAR passing rate in all subject areas. • Improve the percent of students passing their Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies classes by five percent. • Baytown Junior School will continue to improve overall student behavior while maintaining an environment where all learners can be successful. • Baytown Junior School will continue to increase overall student attendance. • Create healthy children and a healthy school environment.
Campus Goals Cont. • To assist students of Baytown Junior School through a guidance/counseling program that addresses the academic and emotional needs of students. • All students will be taught by a teacher who has met the requirement as Highly Qualified (HQ) or state certified if NCLB rules do not apply. • To foster a school environment at Baytown Junior School where there is a commitment to building a culture that encourages and promotes individuals and teams to meet their maximum professional and personal growth for the betterment of student performance.
