The main focus for the elementary school children is to promote the fun aspects of the river through visual and interactive activities. • Get river associated lessons incorporated into curriculums. • Hands-on activities. • Field trips to the Eno.
For the Middle School students, the level of sophistication of the material presented will increase, but the main tenets of the lessons will remain the same. • Hands-On activities become more science oriented. • Establish a Middle School branch of the Eno River Association.
High Schools • High School involvement will push students to become members of the Eno River Association

Objectives • Informational… To increase awareness of the Eno River and the association’s cause by 20 percent among the student bodies at UNC-CH, Duke and other local colleges and universities within 6 months of implementation. • Attitudinal… To change the attitude of the public from one of apathy to one of sympathy toward the association and its cause in the same time period.
Strategies • To use campus media in order to target college students. • To use campus leaders and groups to target college students.
Tactics/ Actions • Purchase advertisements in the student newspapers. • Work through student leaders. • Get on college radio stations. • Work through like-minded student groups.
Public 3:Local Chapters of Similar Non-Profit Organizations • New Hope Audubon Society • The NHAS“is most definitely interested in the protection of the Eno River, and would consider any plan to work either directly or indirectly to protect the Eno River and the lands through which it runs.” - Marsha Stephens, President • Sierra Club:Orange-Chatham Group • NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources
Objective To increase cooperation between local groups similar to the Eno River Association. Strategies Encourage local chapters to: (A) Offer links to Eno website. (B) Allow Eno Association leaders to speak at their meetings. (C) Distribute Eno newsletters, pamphlets, etc. at local meetings.
