  2. What does Willy know? “No, it’s me, it’s me. Suddenly I’m goin’ sixty miles an hour and I don’t remember the last five minutes.” Willy knows that he is getting too old to travel to other cities and drive to make sales.

  3. What does Willy know? “You know how [Biff] admires you. I think if he finds himself, then you’ll both be happier and not fight anymore.” Willy knows that his kids admire him, and that they love and cherish him.

  4. What does Willy know? • “I am not a dime a dozen, I am Willy Loman!” • Willy knows that he doesn’t want to put up with Biff offending

  5. What does Willy know? • “He’s man way out there in the blue, riding on a smile and a Shoeshine.” • Willy knew who he was and he used to be happy and wealthy.

  6. What does Willy know? • “I don’t want a change! I want Swiss Cheese!” • Willy knows what he wants and he doesn’t want the cheese Linda has provided him, he doesn’t want things to change at home.

  7. What does Willy know? • “No, no, some people - some people accomplish something.” • Willy knows that he and his sons were meant go far. But he comes to the realisation that they are becoming lost potential.

  8. What does Willy know? • “I have such thoughts, I have such strange thoughts.” • Willy notices that his mental state is changing.

  9. What does Willy know? • “The street is lined with cars. There’s not a breath of fresh air in the neighborhood. The grass don’t grow any more, you can’t raise a carrot in the back yard.” • Willy knows that his life has changed for the worse. The things he used to enjoy are hard to find.

  10. What does Willy know? • “I couldn’t make it. I just couldn’t make it, Linda.” • Again, Willy is beginning to know and understand that at his age, he can’t do all the things he was able to do before.

  11. What does Willy Know? • “Why do you always insult me?” • Willy knows that the people around him do not treat him with the same respect as before.
