  2. Acute pancreatitis (AP) • Inflammatory disease • Main causes: alcohol consumption, gallstone • Severe, moderate, mild AP (Pancreatology 13 e1-15, 2013) • Mortality of severe AP: up to 50 % • Pathogenesis is not well understood • There is no specific therapy
