Three Areas of Performance • Implementation: What it takes for a District to begin growing in each specific category. • Transitioning: The District is showing growth in this category, but is not yet at the exceptional level. • Modeling: What a District would look like to be performing exceptionally in this category, and would be a model for other districts to follow.

Quality Performance Accreditation (QPA) • 2012 was last “AYP” for QPA • Affect of waiver on 2013 QPA still under development • 2013 possibly use 4 new annual measurable objectives (AMOs) to measure student performance (“P” in QPA)
Board Recommendation • A school’s 2012-13 Accreditation status is not affected by the ESEA waiver. • The 2012 QPA Summary Report has each school’s 2012-13 QPA status, based on the 2011 AYP targets. • Any school, during the 2012-13 school year with a new Accreditation status (on watch, on improvement), will not be required to submit a new plan to the state. • No peer review or improvement plan is required, but districts are highly encouraged to examine data and make plans for improvement based on data. • A recommendation will be brought to the board on how the 4 new AMO’s will be used in accrediting schools beginning with the 2013 assessments.
