Unit 4 • Previously I checked all cost and selling prices and internal and external sources of finance. • Two weeks ago we amended the invoice and created an introduction. • Today we will check that the labour budget, cash book and job roles are correct.
Labour Budget • Everyone has completed a labour budget • Make sure it is done in Excel • Make sure the total number of hours is clearly identified – 1212 • Check that you have included the total labour cost - £10,675.00 • Include a title and a small paragraph explaining what you are showing. • Print your spreadsheet in both normal and formula view • To do this press Ctrl and Tilde (the button below escape)
Cash Book • In the details section you need to include dates as well as the days of the week • Ensure all of the figures have two decimal places • Check that they all have the same format (Currency or Accounting) • You do not need £ signs if it is displayed at the top • Put the title “sub-total” and add up each column • Ensure you have balance c/f at the bottom - £1445.45 • Make sure each figure fits on the same line. • Format the table to make it look good. (Bold, underline) • Include a title and a small paragraph explaining what you are doing • Print in both normal and formula view
Job Roles • You only need the job roles that Lee and Merchant will need. • You do not need Finance Director as only large businesses will have one. • Your cashier is not the person who uses the till. • You need to explain what each of these job roles does • Use the internet to explain what this job role does and also explain how they would work in Lee & Merchant. • Use textbook P94 & 95 for help
