Introduction The presentation discusses the meaning and importance of Virtual Private Network (VPN). It also discusses risk factors associated with remote access in the absence of VPN. It discusses the importance of VPN in JKS Accounting. It also discusses components of corporate network in addition to VPN.
Virtual Private Network It is a secured network developed by an organisation for providing access to the employees form a different remote place with support to the organisation access. It is used with the help of wires or internet to communicate and access information. It is a secured network which maintains the privacy of the organisations. It is a network which is multi secured so the information transferred in this network is secured and cannot be read by other person except the receiver. It provides secured access while accessing information from mobile hand sets with the use of hotspots or Wi-Fi. It is secured with Firewall, encryption and can be used only by authorized person having user ID and password.
