Parents / Fans • Be supportive of your son, your coaches, and the team. (Booster Club) • Respect the opposing team. They are working towards the same goals we are. • Be kind to referees. • Players are expected to be responsible (no parent excuses). • Parents are not expected to contact coaches. Apparel • Apparel store will is OPEN • No Required Items • Players will receive 2 pairs of game day socks and 2 shooter shirts. Eligibility • Parent Player CODE OF CONDUCT – Website • Follow MSHSL, FLHS, FL Boys Lacrosse rules and regulations • MSHSL • Chemical - consumption and possession • shall not at any time, regardless of the quantity, use or consume, have in possession a beverage containing alcohol or tobacco or have in possession, buy, sell or give away any controlled substance • Sexual/Racial/Religious Harassment or Violence • (annoying and inappropriate comments and or actions pertaining to sex, race and/or religion) • Hazing • committing an act against a student or coercing a student into committing an act that creates a substantial risk of harm to a person • Follow High School and State Eligibility Requirements and Violation Policies Forest Lake Lacrosse
Attendance • Athletes must attend 100% of the school day to participate • Exceptions – College visits, family emergencies, Doctors visits • Practice – No texts about missing practice • Excused – ½ Game – Require a note • Dr. Apt, Dentist or college visits require a note and a text through remind a week prior • School work also requiring a note from a teacher (Most teachers allow you to make up work early) • School related events (Band Concert, etc.) • Unexcused – 1 Game • Work, Leaving for the weekend, buying a car, tow a friend home, thought practice was canceled are NOT excused absences • Not showing up • Exceptions will be made at coaches discretion (will not be based on talent) Lacrosse is a commitment Forest Lake Lacrosse
Lettering Process/ Expectations To Letter; 1. Each player is expected to attend at least 2youth clinics. 2. Player must have no more then 1 unexcused absence. 3. Player must play at least 8 quarters at the Varsity level. 4. Players who cannot fulfill 1-3 may still be granted a letter by coaches approval (JR and SR only) 5. Coaches’ discretion. Captains • Will be announced Tuesday Feb. 26th • Seniors responsibility to run practices before then. Forest Lake Lacrosse
Senior/ Captains Practices • Will continue tomorrow • All 8th grade and above are welcome • Weightlifting will begin March 12th before captains practice • Spring break will be up to the captains Forest Lake Lacrosse
Practices • Be prepared for flexible schedules (Spring in Minnesota is a crazy season) • Tryouts and beginning of season will be from 5:00-7:00 • During the season (we only have 1 field for 3 teams) • B squad practices will be from 3:00- 5:00 • JV and Varsity practices may change with weight room time (typically) • JV practice will be from 4:00-6:00 • Varsity practice will be from 4:30-6:30 • Weight room would be right after school then on field time after • Don’t be late • Details will be explained further in a player meeting during the 1st week of the season • Practices will be held at the CLC field • Bus will take athletes to the HS field • Space will be provided at the HS and FLAMS for equipment Forest Lake Lacrosse
