    2. July 2004 Bronwyn Stuckey Why do we need community? If as Reilly suggests teachers are isolated then the hurdle is for in-service education to connect practicing teachers to each other. The ‘ferry service’ Reilly speaks of can be delivered to some extent, for widely distributed individuals through a network or community supported by Internet-mediated technologies.
