As a District Preparing Your Clubs for Rotary Foundation Grants in 2013 The Rotary Foundation is implementing a new grant structure, based on its Vision Plan, that will available to all clubs on 1 July 2013. 1 July 2013 Begin using new Rotary Foundation grants Check rotary.org for updated information. Go to Member AccessIdentify Future Vision tab and click on Rotary Foundation Grants 2013+14 to get started.

  3. Grant types • District grants • District grants fund smaller, short-term activities that address needs in both your local community and communities worldwide. Each district gets to choose which activities it will fund with these grants. • Learn more about district grants

  4. Grant types • Global grants • Global grants support large international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in one or more of the six areas of focus. • Learn more about global grants

  5. Grant types • Packaged grants • Packaged grants have been predesigned by Rotary and our strategic partners. The activities they fund are similar to global grants, but the work of designing the activity’s general framework has already been done. • Learn more about packaged grants

  8. Activity types • Humanitarian projects • Humanitarian projects address community needs by providing sustainable, measurable outcomes in the benefiting community. • Learn more about humanitarian projects

  9. Activity types • Scholarships • District grants can support any form of studies, while global and packaged grants support graduate studies in an area of focus.

  10. Activity types • Vocational training teams • Vocational training teams are groups of professionals travelling abroad either to learn more about their profession or teach local professionals about a particular field. • Learn more about vocational training teams

Train, Qualify & Prepare in 2012-13 • July-December 2012 • Find out your district’s deadlines and requirements for requesting district grant funds for grants. • Appoint a club Rotary Foundation committee chair • Read the Club Rotary Foundation Committee Manual. Consider who else will serve on the committee starting in 2013-14. • Review requirements to qualify your club to receive Rotary Foundation grants.

Build a sense of ownership of our Foundation among Rotarians through their contributions to the Annual Programs Fund, the Permanent Fund, and our Rotary Peace Centres; 3. Continue our progress on the Vision plan and align our service projects with the six areas of focus: • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution • Disease prevention and treatment • Water and sanitation • Maternal and child health • Basic education and literacy • Economic and community development
