The Music of Richard Zavacki. I started early…. I began playing the piano at five. Unlike many young piano students, I loved it and truly had a passion for music. I taught myself guitar a bit later… but this was an early attempt. Andy’s River Road Diner.

Andy’s River Road Diner I recorded my four song E.P., Andy’s River Road Diner, in 1998 with the help of producer Rick Manwiller at Holland Sound in Scranton, Pa. This would serve as my “demo” in the years that followed and afforded me a good deal of performance opportunities. “The Dumbest Thing”
Recording from the Basement I delved into the world of home recording and production as I continued to write music. Recordings from the Basement was completed in 2000 and featured twelve original songs. It was all literally put together in my parents’ basement. “Thick”
Maybe You Can Live on the Moon in Next Century After eating Chinese food one evening, I received a fortune cookie that said, “Maybe you can live on the moon in next century.” I thought this a perfect title for my next recording. This recording has been a work in progress for about a year. To this point I have recorded six songs, literally in my basement. “To End or To Begin”
My Studio So it isn’t exactly Abbey Road, but it works for now… I record on a Fostex VF80EX 8-Track Recorder .
On our honeymoon, I got a chance to play with the resort’s house band. We did a cover of Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”
What’s next??? I’m not sure, but I’ve recently put some of my music online at www.purevolume.com/richardzavacki. Check it out!
