Project Goals • Prepare culturally agile students • Promote understandingbetween the peoples of the European Union and the United States of America • Test range of curriculum-based pedagogical models for teaching foreign language and business culture • Prepare faculty and schools to more effectively use high performance technology • Expand use of advanced networking for multi-national language and business curriculum

Role of High Performance E-Learning • High performance affords minimal latency, jitter, delay • Ideally suited for language and cultural training in global business environment • Limited multi-national use today despite nearly 40 International R&E Networks Worldwide • Combined with other high performance e-learning tools for distributed multinational environment

Status / Next Steps • Seek FIPSE/DG EAC Funding for 2004 • Approach Additional Funding Sources from Ministries/Depts. of Education, Corporate, Private Agencies • Do “competitive analysis” – is anyone else doing this now? What’s working? What’s not? • Promote Significance of Project and Stimulate Awareness (e.g., Internet2 Fall Meeting)
