  2. Question #1 The name of my structure is the Washington Monument. My structure is located in Washington D.C. It started to be built in 1848 but it was only finished 1884!

  3. Question #2 The Washington Monument is very unique. One of these reasons are that the Washington Monument is the only structure of its kind. Also it has a long body and a large point at the top of it.

  4. Question #3 The monument was made to honor America's first president George Washington. This is also a sign of pride to Americans. It is a very famous landmark in America. This land mark overlooks the reflective pool.

  5. Fun Facts • The marble is mostly from Maryland. • Total cost of building the monument was $1,817,710 • There are a total of 36,491 bricks used for the monument • It weighs 90,854 tons (that’s equal to about 181,708 horses)
