PLC Calendar March: Introduction to NGSSS (Orientation) April: Delve deeply into 1-2 NGSSS (Orientation, con’t.) May – August: Collaboratively develop “first units” for August/September including “what we teach”, “ how we will assess”, “how we will teach.” Also, when will PLCs meet to discuss assessment results and make instructional decisions. (Preparation) August/September: Collaboratively teach plans, meet as PLCs, and make instructional decisions. September+: Repeat as necessary.
Question… How many BIG IDEAS are there for each grade level? How many SUPPORTING IDEAS are there for each grade level? What are they?
